French group Armor has announced the launch of a new wax ribbon AWR 8 for flat head thermal transfer printers. The product offers wide label material compatibilities, printing on uncoated rough papers, coated papers and also on synthetic materials.
AWR 8, which is compatible with pre-printed labels, irrespective of the printing technique, has been designed to print at the lowest heat settings.
The covering power of the ribbon enables to cover the label surface completely leading to a dense, sharp black print with no white spots coming out from the print, while giving a grey aspect.
According to the company, AWR 8 addresses end-user needs for standard labeling applications such as storage, transportation and labels, among others.
The ICP division of Armor designs and manufactures inked films used in thermal transfer technology, which is used for marking bar codes, logos, use-by dates or other batch information on labels or flexible packaging.
