According to data from China Iron and Steel Association, China’s ship plate production in the first eleven months amount to 9.3377 million tonnes and marine steel coil hit 845.800 tonnes.
Among them, Chongqing steel produced 1.628 million tonnes and ship plate and 171,500 tonnes of marine steel coil, accounting for 17.43% and 20.28% of market shares.
China’s ship steel consumption may surpass 11.2 million tonnes in 2012, and 2 million tonnes of them would be from Chongqing Steel, making it ranked as No.1 amid domestic producers.
